Athletics in Te Ara Whānake We have been learning to run, jump and throw further, higher, faster and more accurately. We loved learning games in class where we had to think, move and communicate! We had some experts teaching us.... Today we put our new skills together in our Athletics Fun Day. Ask me about the fun events. What was your favourite activity today?

We love learning all of the strands of the arts in Te Ara Whānake. We learn music, drama, dance and visual arts. We are so lucky to have Miss Mackenzie teaching us visual arts.  This term we have been learning about drawing and line. Here are some pics of what we are doing. This art work will be turned into Calendar Art that you can buy! This is a fundraiser for the school. Come on in and have a look sometime! Question: What is your favourite strand of the arts to learn at school.

Fitness in Te Ara Whanake We love doing fitness and know how important it is for our health, so even when it's raining and cold outside we take time to get active. We all get together and dance our way through some fun Go Noodle activities. We even have competitions sometimes. Check out how much fun we are having!

We can solve 3x tables problems by remembering this song.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzVyBQ5uTbo This term we are learning about fractions. We are topping up our fractions knowledge by learning things like reading, drawing and ordering fractions. Our teachers are really pleased with how much we have learned in the last few weeks. Now it's time to solve some fractions problems.  Our teachers give us real life problems to solve. First we have to figure out what the problem is. Then think...
