Athletics in Te Ara Whānake We have been learning to run, jump and throw further, higher, faster and more accurately. We loved learning games in class where we had to think, move and communicate! We had some experts teaching us.... Today we put our new skills together in our Athletics Fun Day. Ask me about the fun events. What was your favourite activity today?

Te Reo Maori Week

Image
This week our studio has been joining in with the rest of the school with te Reo maori week. Each afternoon we have gathered together to share mihi, sing waiata, and try different experiences including weaving, poi, rakau, maori yoga, using language, and more! Which was your favourite activity? What was the hardest to learn?

The Arts in Te Ara Whānake

Image
We love learning all of the strands of the arts in Te Ara Whānake. We learn music, drama, dance and visual arts. We are so lucky to have Miss Mackenzie teaching us visual arts.  This term we have been learning about drawing and line. Here are some pics of what we are doing. This art work will be turned into Calendar Art that you can buy! This is a fundraiser for the school. Come on in and have a look sometime! Question: What is your favourite strand of the arts to learn at school.
